Crown Singles Trophy - Sunday 28th May 2006
The sporting spirit and camaraderie among the ten contestants gave the event the feel of a bank holiday party! Rain held off. Everyone played four games in two groups of five with the top two from each group playing off to be in the final. Four good-humoured games for a reduced entry of fee of £3 made it a great value fun boules day out.
Congratulations Manu! Last year's runner-up but this year's well-deserved winner! Unfortunately last year's winner forgot to bring the trophy back so we borrowed the super-sized Stanley Cup from the US hockey league just for the photographs. And is that young Bill next to him?
