Twinning Fair
Croston Village Green
Saturday 12th July 2003

Not only were we favoured with brilliant sunshine on the day, we had the pleasure of hosting charming Charlotte, the 15yr old daughter of Azay wine producers, Christine and Pascal Pibaleau. As well as spending most of Friday peeling onions (yes we do use the real thing) and helping prepare the barbecue, she spent Saturday morning helping Linda and I sell out of our barbecued hot dogs in record time.  We even had to send out for more sausages half way through the morning. It really was "sizzlingly" hot.

Russell too did a roaring trade on his crepe stand, offering such delicious flavours as chocolate,
maple syrup, strawberry and cream, lemon, and savoury ham &cheese.
He also ran out and had to send  for more eggs very early in the morning.

The ladies on the  Womens Institute stand cleared the bottles from their bottle stand so early that they decided to look through some holiday snaps

Doreen and Dorothy sold every single raffle ticket we printed (a first I think). The main prize was a DVD player but there were many others.

There was no shortage of takers too on our Tombola stand, ably manned by Graham our honorary president, offering some great prizes.
